Annual reports therefore play an important role in digitalization. This is because companies “live” digitalization in various facets when it comes to reporting: when publishing online reports as well as when using system-supported, highly secure publishing solutions, especially when these are integrated and function according to the single-source-of-truth approach. In any case, there are crucial conceptional tasks to be done in the preparation phase: the definition of a reporting strategy with target group identification.
