5. November 2024
We were very active this year and attended a whole host of events, trade fairs and conferences in the DACH region. We organized some formats, such as our demo day in cooperation with our strong partners. At other events, we provided speakers, presented best cases or took part as participants. “Combining the best” was the overarching motto across all events - we combined the best of all the exciting presentations, personal discussions and shared experiences.

On May 7 and 8, it was “Combining the best in partnership” - our annual partner presence conference in spring. This time in Frankfurt am Main. With many dedicated friends from our certified partner agencies from Germany, Switzerland and Norway. Together we experienced two exciting days with inspiring presentations, relevant conversations, a great city tour through Frankfurt and a delicious and illustrious evening in the old town of Sachsenhausen.
swissclimatereportingforum
The rendezvous of the Swiss ESG community and mms right in the middle of it. In the breakout session, Daniel Schön had the opportunity to present our platforms to the ESG managers of various companies. They are our contacts when it comes to ESG reporting and XBRL, the regulatory machine readability.
gbs
The 16th Annual Report Symposium took place in Rüschlikon near Zurich with over 300 guests. Framed by an inspiring and colorful program with many exciting keynotes and best practice cases around the motto “Beyond Compliance - make the difference”. We showed our enthusiasm for such a fantastic milage not only through our personal participation - we also drew attention to the microsite esg-regulation.info (in German only), developed together with our sister agency NeidhartSchön, for more clarity and orientation in the regulatory jungle.
bestpracticereporting
dirk
The DIRK conference was at the top of our event agenda early on in the year. DIRK is the German Investor Relations Association and the largest European professional association for connecting companies and capital markets. As every year, this conference is one of the highlights of the investor relations community. On July 1 and 2, the time had come again. With over 500 participants, exciting panel discussions, case studies and workshops - all under the motto “Artificial intelligence - hype or game changer”. Olivier Neidhart and Daniel Schön from mms took away plenty of input and interesting discussions. They also gained the insight and confirmation that AI has become an integral part of reporting and digital process design.
accountingsummit
The Accounting Summit is both a trade fair and a conference where participants discuss with top-class speakers, experts and innovators, find out about current trends, exchange best practices and actively shape the future of the accounting industry. Daniel Schön and Mr. XBRL Sacha Kälin took part in the discussions on machine readability and ESG reporting. Important topics on the CFO agenda, important contacts for the mms platforms. Highlight: the presentation by Envoria, our ESG software partner, with a full house.
ccir
On September 26 and 27, the CC/R Forum Reporting in Frankfurt am Main was entitled “What for? Redefine the focus.” In cooperation with the Institute for Corporate Communications & Identity (CC/R) and the Center for Corporate Reporting (CCR), the focus was on reporting topics such as design and communication and on the opportunity to use reporting as a strategic tool for greater value creation and innovative strength - while also incorporating trends such as AI. The dialogue on the future of reporting was crowned by the evening event on Thursday, October 26 with a personal welcome from Olivier Neidhart, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Neidhart + Schön Group and mms solutions, which also acted as dinner sponsor.
reportingtrends
What trends and developments are shaping the reporting landscape? This question was explored on October 14 in Frankfurt by the organizer Going Public Media and participants of the Special & Event “Reporting Trends”. We have been closely associated with Going Public for many years through our contributions to their publication and are always delighted to provide inspiring impetus through our participation in “Reporting Trends”.
demotag
Under the motto “How to ESG”, we hosted a successful demo day in our Zurich office lounge on October 15 in cooperation with the consulting firm Horváth. Around 20 participants accepted our invitation to experience the benefits of our reporting platform ns.wow in guided “Learning by Doing” sessions. At the same time, the participants were able to familiarize themselves with our in-built module tagging plus for the complete mapping of the ESRS XBRL taxonomy - and count on the expertise of Sacha Kälin, our Mr. XBRL. The morning started with an inspiring keynote speech by our colleagues from Horváth and ended with many important insights and a strong espresso.
cira
Compared to the DIRK, the CIRA (Cercle Inverstor Relations Austria) in Vienna is known to be more personal and individual on a smaller scale. Many of the participants know each other and so the exchange is characterized by trust and openness. Our CIRA highlight: the joint appearance by Marco Reiter, Head of Investor Relations at STRABAG SE, and Daniel Schön from mms. Both spoke “on stage” about the challenges of the implementation phase, as well as the insights and advantages of the entire digitization process based on the much-praised Financial and ESG Report 2023 of STRABAG SE, which we set up via ns.wow.
partnertreffen
As part of the mms partner meeting in November, which takes place virtually, the latest developments of the ns.publish and ns.wow platforms are presented by product management and we will look back together on an eventful and successful year using best practice cases as examples and provide an outlook for 2025.
We remain curious and look forward to good discussions, many exciting encounters and lots of new perspectives. The current topics - from CSRD to AI to XBRL - are our drivers for advancing digitalization in reporting and reporting on it.
With this in mind, we look forward to experiencing “Combining the best in Reporting” live in 2025 and bringing it to life.
